WEDDINGS:
Saryne Miller & Anthony Menezes tying
the knot on June 20th daughter of Matt & Elaine Miller & granddaughter of Matt Miller & Judy Miller.
Ericka Young & Jeremy Sila will be married on June 19th.daughter of Ron Young & Aida Kruttschnitt. granddaughter of Harold & Ina Young
COLLEGE:
Ashley Brazil daughter of Lauie & Mike Brazil graduates from U.C. Davis with a BS, degree in Genetics, granddaughter of Bob Fava Sr and the late Shirley Fratini Fava.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Justin Scott graduates from Canyon H.S. Canyon Country, Ca, son of Cathy (Walsh) & Ralph Scott. Grandson of the late Edith (Ede) & Dan Walsh. Justin joined the Marines, goes first to Camp Pendleton until January, then to 29 Palms before maybe being deployed to Afghanistan.
BABIES:
Heather & David Thompson expecting soon in July. Will be 3rd grandchild for Rick and Chris & 3rd great-grandchild for Gena & the late Mal Nelson.
Camryn Elizabeth 7lbs 18in born March 18th to Laura (Hoover) & Justin Brumbaugh, 2nd granddaughter for Ellen Hoover and 3rd great-grandchild for Joan and the late Stan Sherier.
Bailey Isobel Campbell born April 16th 7lbs 20in to Jacquelyn & Jim Campbell, 2nd granddaughter for Rob Fava Jr and 2nd great-granddaughter for Bob Fava Sr & the late Shirley Fratini Fava.
BACK FROM IRAQ:
Garret Hoover son of Ellen Hoover & grandson of Joan & the late Stan Sheirer back in San Diego after serving one year in Iraq. We are all proud of your service and glad your back safe. Garret is trying to come up from San Diego to the picnic to meet all the Calif cousins.

 

TRAVEL NEWS: (Cruise)
Charlie & Marlene Dellamore (Karen Schwab’s in-laws, Bob’s mother) this time cruise to Alaska. Sailed from Seattle (beautiful city without the rain) Princess Cruise Line, the ship “Golden Princess” 18 decks! 1st stop Juneau (Alaska’s Capitol) Proceeded on to Skagway, the jump off point to the Yukon gold rush of the 1890’s. Cruised around Tracy Ann Fjord with breath taking waterfalls & vertical snow capped mountains. On to Ketchikan very quaint western flavor & very clean. Should have gone on to Victoria, B.C. could not dock, the winds were to high. Beautiful city from what we could see from the bay. The next cruise will be Panama Canal through the locks!
IN MEMORY:
Michael (Pete) Kenny 91 died April 3rd beloved husband of LaVerne Nelson Kenny. Pete & LaVerne love coming to the picnics. In the early years Pete was out there playing baseball or was he the Umpire? I know he enjoyed the games. Joined U.S. Navy in 1945. He joined the S.F. Fire Dept spent the greater part of his career with Truck One, the “Alley Cats of Jessie St where he made many life time friends & received numerous awards & citations for public service. He retired in 1974 and long time member of the Knight of Columbus.
Stan Sheirer 79 died May 21st Bedford, PA beloved husband of Joan Sears Sherirer. 5 children & 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. During the Korean conflict he was a Navy Radar Specialist on the U.S.S. Manchester. Childhood dream was becoming a gliden pilot in Cumberland, Md.. Member of the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. and a lifetime member of the Freedom Flyers in Osterburg, PA. Stan, Joan and Family came to many Scattered Clan Picnics with the 5 young children in the earlier years driving from Pennsylvania just to attend.
